It was 31st July 2025. My mum, her partner, and I had just come off the ferry and planned to stay here for the night. The man at the counter seemed nice, though I struggled to understand him because I don't know much French. He showed us to the room and left us to it. We weren't sure about it. My mum's partner needs a breathing machine when he sleeps, but the only plug socket was too far from the bed for it to reach, so he couldn't use it. The room might be fine for one person, but it was too cramped for three. It didn't smell good, and seeing half-naked men wandering the corridors as if they owned the place made my mum uncomfortable. The toilets weren't pleasant either, and one didn't work and was full of crap. We decided to leave for the night and carry on south. As we were going, the owner offered us another room, so we considered it. But that one was just as small for three and didn't seem any cleaner or more hygienic. We apologised and left. We never actually stayed, and we won't be coming back.

There was no air conditioning, the taps in my room didn’t work, and there were no towels. The only shower was shared and only ran cold. I also couldn’t get drinking water except from an overpriced vending machine. The car park had turned into a drinking hangout, with noise and screaming throughout my stay. It felt like hell. I’ve never stayed anywhere this bad. Dirty, unsafe, and full of very sketchy people. Never stay here.

We had to cancel and book another hotel because the room was so poor we couldn’t sleep there. The photos and advert gave a misleading impression. The shared bathrooms and toilets were filthy, the room needed a serious dusting, and the whole place reeked of urine and tobacco. The top mattress was only about half a mattress in length and barely three inches thick. It wasn’t suitable for a family at all. A memorable stay, but for all the wrong reasons. Stay away if you don’t want to leave with some unpleasant disease.

Breakfast was nice, and the staff were pleasant. The room itself was clean, though very small and basic, with an unpleasant stale tobacco smell. It’s a very cheap hotel, so you get what you pay for. Fine for a one-night stop after the ferry.

The room was clean, the bedding was fresh, and we slept really well. It worked well as an inexpensive stop after our ferry. Even though the ferry docked late, we could get in easily and the staff were helpful.
