B&B HOTEL Dijon Valmy Toison d'Or

Getting into the hotel's parking was tricky, and we ended up having to go back around to reach it. Once there, we found the parking spacious enough. The hotel is right by the highway, which is convenient if you're travelling by car. Our room was large, clean, and modern, though basic, like most Ibis hotels in France.

I come here regularly to visit a family member, and each time the staff have been friendly, helpful, and good at working together. My rooms have always been spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is very good as well. It's also handy having a tram line nearby. I'm a very satisfied guest.

The place was beautifully clean and comfortable, and I liked the hotel. But the advertised secure parking was a mystery: the receptionist seemed to know little about it, apart from saying it wasn't hotel-owned. At breakfast, we felt uncomfortable when chairs were being stacked on tables while we were still eating, 30 minutes before service ended. That's not okay, and not what I'd usually expect from B&B.

We booked at the last minute as a stop on the way home from the alps, and booking was easy. It was great to find a room with four beds. The room was much bigger than expected, very clean, and the beds were comfortable, so we all slept well. Special thanks to the night duty staff member who helped me check in after I had made a mistake with the online booking. It was my error, and she was friendly and really helpful.
