Campanile PRIME - Dijon Centre Gare

I arrived because of a family emergency and really appreciated the warm welcome. The hotel is conveniently located near the railway station and trams, and the staff are friendly. There's a good breakfast selection, plus the option of eating at the restaurant in the evening. I enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.

We paid 75€ for one night hoping to sleep, but we ended up awake and worried about the hygiene. The doors don't block sound, and the tramway made it hard to rest. The air conditioning wasn't working during the August nights, and the shampoo bottle was already empty when we arrived. Cleanliness was also far below what I'd expect at a three-star hotel. Our first room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest; the replacement was marked clean, but the toilet rolls left for us were dirty and used. The mattress hadn't been changed and was covered in other guests' hair (picture attached). The floor hadn't been vacuumed properly either. I'd rate the overall cleanliness 2/10. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with a broad, varied spread and everything we needed to start the day. We had a very pleasant two-night stay in a clean, tidy room that was a good size and felt comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is right beside Gare de Dijon Ville, with a tram stop out front, and just a few minutes on foot from the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin and the historic city centre. It makes it easy to explore Dijon, and I'd highly recommend it to visitors.

The location worked well for us, very close to the station and just a short walk from the central shopping area. We thought the triple room was good value, and it was clean with everything working well apart from the rather weak air conditioning. The breakfast was good. The receptionist, Ilona (I think), was friendly and helpful, suggested places to visit and restaurants in Dijon, and quickly sorted out a bathroom issue.
