La chouette d'or

A handwritten note from the owner thanking us for choosing their place was a lovely touch. The whole stay felt relaxing and pleasant, and everything was brand new and authentic, quite different from what we usually find in Canada. We stopped in Dijon for a night on our way to Switzerland, but if we’d known how nice it would be, we would have stayed another night. Thanks again, friends.

We were heading from London to Italy and stopped in Dijon. The room was clean and roomy, and it’s dog friendly, with a little yard where our dog could play. The location is 10/10. I’d recommend this place to everyone, and we’ll stop here again on every road trip. Thanks.

Once I got inside, the place was amazing. The room was clean, beautifully designed and had everything I needed, including an iron, washing machine, Wi-Fi and microwave. Finding it was a whole mystery, though. I had to ask lots of people in the street for directions, then call the property management and hand my phone to someone on the street to translate. Getting into the apartment was just as confusing: I entered a code to retrieve the keys, used them to open the big door, then had to work out how to move the metal door. Even the apartment door needed to be closed in a strange way before it was fully shut and locked. So weird.

Charming AirBnB in a perfect location. It was a bit noisy from the street, and there’s no air conditioning.
