Le Pergaud - Topdestination-Dijon

Dust, grime, damp, and noise. I was really disappointed with what we paid for. The ventilation was horribly loud, around 62 dB, and the Wi-Fi code didn't work. There were very few coffee pods, so don't count on being able to make two coffees. Everything costs extra, while basic hygiene seemed to be missing. The bed was made in a rush and had suspicious stains; the glasses didn't match. There was mold on the coffee cup basket, dusty plastic plants, and I even cleaned a leaf to show the difference. We found pubic hair, labels, leftover hair from previous guests, and clothing tags. The whirlpool bath was filthy and broken. My partner is allergic to dust, so we had to make an emergency trip to the pharmacy for antihistamines. My partner also checked the website and saw the prices, which was quite a surprise for a gift. I have photos and videos to show it all, and you can zoom in on the pictures if you like.

We barely stayed 20 minutes, just long enough to look around and contact customer service. We had planned a romantic weekend to relax, but arrived to an unbearable smell of damp and mold. The VMC wasn't suitable, and after staying in many places with the same equipment, this was the first like it. Mold marks on the windows and front door were obvious. The bed cushions were stained, the oven disgusting, and there were cobwebs with their occupants, plus excrement stains at the bottom of the toilet. Neighbors were doing work, and the corridor to the accommodation was cluttered. Even with the window and door shut, we could hear their conversation. The host called our refund request abusive, said the smell was normal, and claimed a cleaner came after we left and found nothing wrong with the cleanliness. We eventually got back 25 euros out of almost 300, and had to find another place at our own expense. After several interventions, Airbnb gave us a full refund, thankfully. A weekend wasted. This place should be avoided until the work and proper cleaning are done.

The place was well located and nicely equipped, so it seemed set for a lovely evening for two in Dijon. But the cleaning was only so-so, there were electrical issues with the lighting, and the neighbors were really noisy. The balneotherapy tub also had a slight leak. It left the weekend feeling mixed, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste.

The accommodation was very functional and matched the description. The jacuzzi was top notch, and it was good value for money.
