We nearly skipped Maison Rinette, and that would have been a huge mistake. André and Sophie, the couple who run this bed and breakfast, went out of their way to make us comfortable and even welcomed us early. Sophie also took time to share fantastic tips for our short visit to Dijon. And the breakfast was unforgettable. Come for a cozy, memorable stay that feels one of a kind.

Our room at Maison Rinette was spotless, comfortable, a good size and stayed cool despite the hot weather. The bathroom had plenty of space too, with a nice, powerful shower. André and Sophie were welcoming hosts, and breakfast was very good with plenty to enjoy. There’s reasonably priced public covered parking just around the corner. The guesthouse is down a side street, so even though a square with bars and restaurants, and Thursday night live music, is nearby, it stays peaceful. We had two nights here, really enjoyed Dijon and its restaurants, and hope to come back sometime.

Restaurants are only a couple of minutes away, and we'd especially recommend L’ Epicerie & Cic. For those of us driving, parking is just around the corner. The location is right in central Dijon Old Town. Sophie and Andre were wonderful hosts and gave us helpful suggestions for things to see in Dijon. Breakfast was lovely too, especially Sophie’s special surprise addition.

The homemade breakfast each morning was a real highlight, and the room was newly redone, charming and very comfortable. Sophie and her husband were so kind and made us feel welcome. The hotel is conveniently placed, which made getting around Dijon easy. Maison Rinette was one of the highlights of our trip in France. I couldn't recommend it more.

The breakfasts were the best part: delivered in a basket to our door at the agreed time, with homemade apple crumbles or chocolate cakes, croissants, French bread, butter, jams, juice and coffee. That's what often seems to be missing from bed and breakfasts now, but not here. It does justice to Dijon, the gastronomic capital of France, sorry Paris and Lyon. André and Sophie were welcoming from the start, with useful emails before we arrived about where to eat, including links, and a better walking route from the train station than Google Maps suggested. They met us at the door and showed us to a spotless, comfortable suite with charming decor. Maison Rinette is in a newly renovated 17th-century French row house on a quiet cobblestone lane, among other 17th-century houses, in the heart of the old city. Dijon is an overlooked gem. I recommend Maison Rinette 100%.
