Mustard Hostel

The included breakfast is pretty meagre: croissant or brioche, coffee and juice. That was enough for us, but don't count on a big meal to start your day. Granola pots and some other options are available for an extra charge. It seems like the only hostel in town, and a nice one at that. It looked freshly refurbished in February 2026, and the room and lobby were super clean. Staff were always nice and helpful. The location is great, with bars and restaurants close by. Since it's at the southern end of the old town, pretty much every Dijon city attraction worth visiting is within walking distance.

The staff were really friendly and quick at check-in and checkout. You can speed things up by preparing online. The beds were cute and gave you lots of privacy, while still being comfortable. The bathroom may be shared by too many people, but it seemed to be cleaned often. It's very close to the cathedral and city center, and good value for money. The only bad thing was that I stupidly left my towel in the room 🤦

What a nice find. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The coffee was great, and the cake was nice too, though my banana bread was a little dry because it was the end of the loaf. I'd recommend the Mustard Hostel café.

The hostel is new, but the warmth and kindness I experienced there were unlike anything I've felt before. Top-notch hostel, and I'd recommend it to everyone. Come and enjoy your stay. It's clean, well priced, and the welcome was great. Ten out of ten for me.
