Studio Le Terracotta

It’s well located and nicely decorated, but the musty smell and poor cleanliness left me with a bitter taste after the stay. What a shame!

I left after the first night and spent the second night in a hotel. It was the middle of winter in Dijon, and the apartment was freezing when I arrived, around 10°C. The air conditioning was meant to heat the place, but even after following the host’s instructions it only blew cold air. There were no radiators except for a small one in the bathroom. The insulation is poor, with a very thin door and hollow walls exposing the stone, which makes the cold much worse. It might be okay in summer, but in winter it’s barely habitable. Several kitchen appliances couldn’t be used: the pan and saucepan were badly worn, one handle was broken, and the microwave plug was faulty. Basic supplies were missing too, including dish soap, paper towels, and laundry detergent. A portable heater was brought over, but it didn’t really help. The shower was clean, the host responded quickly, and I did get a refund. Still, this was misleading and overpriced accommodation. Avoid it in winter.
