Patrick made the stay feel welcoming, with little treats in the room and aperitifs in the lounge. The B&B was clean, friendly, and well placed for visiting Dinan. Breakfast was good, and there’s free parking across the street.

The garden was a lovely spot to sit after a day out, and we wished we’d had more time there. Breakfast was generous and full of fresh, tasty choices, from fruit and cheeses to pastries and smoked fish. Our garden-facing room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and had its own bathroom and a lovely city view. The house has been beautifully restored, with playful decor. Patrick was kind and funny, answered all our questions about the house and parking, and booked dinner for us at two great restaurants. He gave us privacy while still being there whenever we needed something. We spent two nights at Le 27 and feel lucky we got to stay. Patrick’s care and creativity made it a memorable visit.

Patrick was a friendly, very helpful host, and arranging dinner for both nights was a real help during busy August. Le 27 is a gem in Dinan, and we’d happily return, though we wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was comfortable and chic, with big windows looking onto the garden and the rampart view. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the garden and patio were especially relaxing, with a great view. We enjoyed taking wine out there, or having the coffee, tea, and spirits Patrick provided. Breakfast had plenty of good options, including excellent pastries and homemade yogurt, jams, and jellies. The location on the ramparts makes it easy to walk everywhere. Parking is right across the street, but call Patrick as you arrive so he can provide the permit for the lot.

The highlight of my two months travelling through Italy and France was easily my three nights at Le 27 Boutique B & B in July. I’d put it ahead of the many other hotels and B&Bs I stayed in. Patrick had dinner reservations arranged for me and met me outside right on time at 5:05pm, then showed me the nearby private parking across the street, which uses a resident access card. His stone townhouse is right in historic Dinan, with nearby parking. The ground-floor shared rooms were lovely and open to guests, as was the exquisite garden. The two guest rooms on the ‘first floor,’ were exceptional. Patrick is a wonderfully gracious host, and breakfast each morning was elaborate. I hope I get the chance to return.
