The pool was wonderfully relaxing, kept at 29 degrees Celsius, and breakfast was generous with homemade things. Our room was spacious too, and I especially liked the walk-in shower. Sylvie and her family made us feel very welcome in this beautiful setting. I’d be very happy to come back if I can.

A generous breakfast with plenty of variety, including regional specialties, gets the day off to a good start. The studio is clean, quiet, comfortable enough, and well equipped, with a heated pool too. The host is attentive and around to help, with useful local advice for making the most of a stay. A good choice if you prefer a bed and breakfast.

The bedding was comfortable, breakfast was good, parking along the road behind the house was easy, and we had a bottle of water when we arrived. We didn’t use the kitchenette, TV, or pool, so I can’t comment on those. The studio itself was a big disappointment. It was so cramped we couldn’t open our suitcases, and there was almost nowhere for clothes, just three drawers in a chest under the TV. The listing didn’t give the size. The bathroom was tiny too. When you stepped out of the shower you were right at the sink, so you had to leave the room to dry off and get dressed. The back of the toilet was unfinished. There was only a French door, and the room badly lacked natural light. No bedside lamp either. Outside, the table and two chairs were on the road, which fortunately wasn’t busy, and sat right beside the neighbors’ studio with no divider. Sylvie’s daughter handed us the keys when we arrived but didn’t give us any other information. We met Sylvie at breakfast, but she didn’t ask how we were settling in or how we’d slept. After introductions there wasn’t really any interaction. She served breakfast and spent the time on her phone. At the second breakfast she spoke with us a little about her cats. When I returned the keys, she only said, “Thank you and goodbye.” Our neighbors, a young couple with a baby, returned their keys during breakfast. We heard the young mother say she hoped their noise hadn’t bothered us, but Sylvie never checked with us about it. Luckily, we only stayed two nights in Dinard. The guests in the main house seemed happy, so perhaps they’re treated better than we were?!?

We were welcomed so warmly, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, especially the Breton far. The pool was 26°C. Highly recommend it.
