From our room at the top of the hotel, we had a perfect view of the beach. I woke up early to watch a stunning sunrise over the water towards St Malo. We also had breakfast in the morning sunshine on the terrace, with fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, yoghurt and cured meat. The owners made us feel very welcome. We came across this delightful hotel while in Dinard, reached by steep steps down to a beautiful house overlooking La Plage De L'Ecluse. I hope we can return one day.

Breakfast on the dining room balcony was such a memorable treat, especially after an early morning dip. Florence and Marc are wonderful hosts. Hotel Villa Reine Hortense has charm and soul, and captures the feel of Dinard like nowhere else. Full marks, and thank you. Deborah and Mike Cooper

The owners were so hospitable that staying there felt like visiting their home. Most guests were French or from elsewhere in the EU, and the hotel was very quiet, which we really appreciated. Our room almost seemed to hang over the sea, with a deep window looking across the bay. The view was even lovelier at night. It had fresh, tasteful scarlet and teal decor, traditional furnishings, high ceilings and a chandelier. The linens were very nice, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and you could have it on the porch overlooking the beach.
