The owner, who also handles reception, was really friendly and helpful. I stayed two nights in a family room with twin beds and a bunk bed for the kids. The room looked nice and had been renovated fairly recently. It was clean, and the shutters on both windows did a great job blocking street noise and light. The bathroom was almost stylish, and the tap water is safe to drink. Breakfast was served in a decent-sized room with a balcony. It was simple and light by northern standards, though I think that’s common in France. The bread and croissants were very good, and the coffee was good even without sugar, above average in my opinion. There are quite a lot of photographs in the hotel interior.

The room was quiet even though the hotel is right in the town centre, and the bed was comfortable. Everything had a recently refurbished, high-standard feel. There’s free parking about 100 metres away, plus amazingly fast free internet, over 100 meg, and a smart TV in the room. The shower was nice, and the lady at reception was pleasant and very helpful. What’s not to like?

We had a great time out on the patio, sipping wine and enjoying the views. Claudette was very helpful, and our room was kept clean throughout the week we stayed while visiting family in Domene. It’s a cozy little hotel, and we enjoyed our stay.

They sold us a room for three, but the hotel didn’t have one available, so we had to move. They don’t check what’s actually on the reservation.
