A L'orée du Bois

Great gîte.

We had a wonderful week for New Year's 2025. The accommodation was just right and the owners were very pleasant. From there we enjoyed lovely walks, the snow, and the Colmar Christmas market. We'd happily come back.

We could have stayed longer, there was so much to see around the area. The Vosges forests, beautiful waterfalls, and nearby attractions kept us busy, and the quiet green setting in the hills above Dommartin-lès-Remiremont was perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. We spent 15 wonderful days at L’Orée du Bois gîte, a little corner of paradise for a peaceful break. My three grandchildren loved the play area and its different structures, as well as the ping-pong and foosball tables. The property also has animals, including llamas, which everyone enjoyed. There's a sauna and spa too. I also had several fun fishing sessions at the small pond, where catches were easy and plentiful. The owners are lovely and welcoming, always ready to help. They clearly enjoy sharing their spot in nature and making sure guests have a good stay. I highly recommend the gîte to families, hikers, nature lovers, or anyone looking for peace and authenticity. We'll definitely return!

The pond was a hit with my daughters, who were excited to catch little fish, and the kids could play together on the slide and swings. We also had Coco the mule as our neighbor, and we'll miss her a lot. We spent a week of family holiday at the "Élodie" cottage and were very happy with it. It's a quiet place surrounded by woods and nature, with magnificent mountain views. The spa, jacuzzi, and sauna are a nice bonus, though they wouldn't be much use in a heatwave. I bet they're wonderful in winter. Good value for money, and I recommend it.
