The shower was lovely, with loads of hot water, and the room was comfortable, clean and attractive. The owners were attentive and gave us really personal attention. The welcome was about as friendly as it gets. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

A fascinating building in a great spot for getting to Douai centre.

The room was beautiful and incredibly clean, and the different lights made the evening atmosphere just right. I really appreciate places that are happy to welcome you, rather than giving my money to big chains. Frédérique sent all the information I needed beforehand and was responsive, flexible and accommodating. The housekeeping staff were just as kind. The shared areas were clean, with a kitchen and secure entrance. You can walk into the city center, and the train station is about 25 minutes away on foot. I highly recommend staying here!

We got the booking date wrong, but the manager let us stay at her property without charging extra. Such a relief, and so kind of her! The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and welcoming. I highly recommend it.

The large shared living room has a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area, and there's a spacious period lounge where guests can wait or relax while still enjoying the old-world charm. In the room, I found everything I needed, and it was comfortable and peaceful. The views were wonderful, from the landscaped grounds to the Douai belfry. The themed rooms are beautiful, and the private mansion is charming. It's close to the city center and old town, easy to reach by public transport, with parking readily available. A delightful surprise, and a lovely place to stay.
