Les Résidences d'Armor

Lots of quirky features, and the staff are helpful.

The setting is very pleasant, and the staff are nice. Parking could be a problem in high season: the hotel doesn't have enough spaces, and the tennis court lot for luggage is a bit far away. We went on a day hike on Wednesday, September 24th. When we came back, my watch was gone from the bedside table. That was the day the housekeepers had been in the rooms. Was that a coincidence? We searched and asked around, emptied our bags, and completely stripped the bed, but it still hasn't turned up. The site manager said he would call me back on Tuesday, October 1st, but I haven't heard anything. I find the whole thing lacking in seriousness and honesty.

I was very happy with my week-long stay in a sea-view room, which I wouldn't have traded despite the inconvenience of carrying my suitcase up when the elevator in the Astrolabe building was out of order. Apparently it has been broken for some time. The residence is right on the waterfront, near hiking trails, and makes it easy to reach lots of picturesque places nearby. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the menus are varied and excellent. The dining room does get very noisy whenever a group is there.

The setting is pleasant, but on our third stay at Résidences d'Armor we noticed the service quality had gone downhill. Reception could be better, the room windows were dirty, and the restaurant was expensive. The pool was much too cold this year, which was a shame, and there was no entertainment for children.
