La Tommelle

Tony and Rosie look after us with so much care and warmth. If you haven't stayed here yet, book today. You're sure to have a fun holiday!

The welcome was lovely, and the hosts were friendly and helpful throughout. The food was delicious, with something different each day for both breakfast and the table d'hôtes, all prepared with real care. It's a beautifully kept, charming B&B in a peaceful setting, with much more to see than cows, prairie and fields: the Monts de Sery offer a double educational walk, there's a well-illustrated war museum, and the church of Asfeld, among other sights. It's also a great area for running, walking or cycling, with little traffic. There are some hills, though other holidaymakers said it's flatter along the canal. The outdoor jacuzzi is nicely situated too. A place I'd recommend!

The area was lovely for a 14 km walk, and there are charming towns close enough for short trips. Back at La Tommelle, Rosy and Tony gave us a warm welcome. Breakfast was generous and had plenty of choice, and we could have dinner there in the evening, including a delicious paella. We had a fantastic stay, highly recommended.

We felt completely at ease thanks to the incredibly friendly hosts, and had a lovely time. The peaceful village setting is a treat if you enjoy walking and quiet. Our room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the view stunning. Breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. Dinner is available in the evening on request. We'll definitely be back!
