We had a great time laughing through the translation and communication mix-ups. The owners made a real effort to welcome us, and treated us like special guests. The reception at the restaurant was amazing and the food was great.

Friendly, very helpful staff, a clean hotel and an affordable rate are the best things here. It’s a quaint little place right in the town center. The rooms feel old and worn, though, and without air-conditioning they get super warm when it’s hot outside. Fine for a night or two, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

The service was OK, but the dinner was awful. We were served different dishes from what we ordered, and the food was bland with greasy fries. For €11, the large salad plate was pickled beetroot, sliced tomato, iceberg lettuce and raw (!) mushrooms with hollandaise drizzled over them. Avoid at all costs.

Everything in Calvados seemed to be sold out when we arrived at the last minute, but the hosts went out of their way to fit five of us into one room. It was nice and clean, the people were super friendly, and breakfast was great.
