There’s a lot of potential here: it’s quirky and in a great spot, and you can tell someone once put care into it. That must have been a long time ago, though. I’ve paid less for much more on this trip around Europe. I’d only come back if I were stuck and the price were cut by 50-60%. I’m surprised it averages over 4 stars. That feels like paying 50€ for a burger and chips at McDonalds and then recommending it for a Michelin star.

The owners were so kind to my family while my adult son was recovering from an accident. We had good food and plenty of laughs, too. The hotel is quaint and close to everything you need in this small town. I hope I can return one day. Thank you, Stephanie and Sebastian! 🤗

We stopped for coffee in the lovely garden. Both the coffee and the service were first class.

We were here for a 551st 75th anniversary liberating France. From arrival to departure, we were treated like royalty. We enjoyed spending time with our travel group in the quaint courtyard, and the breakfasts and dinners were nice. Whenever we needed anything extra, it was provided. The owners were very friendly, and on our last day they even hosted a wine party. What wonderful hosts. Thank you so much, The Schmid family, England & USA. I hope to see them again someday.

The hotel was hard to access and has no elevator. Its staircases and corridors took me back to the Eastern Bloc in the 1970s. It was very clean, but the place felt sterile, with no taste or imagination.
