The area makes a great base for visiting nearby towns, from small villages to larger places with their own histories, as well as markets, wineries, and museums. The lakes are to the north and the Mediterranean to the south, and most places are 20 minutes to an hour away by car. There's cycling, hiking, swimming in rivers or lakes, learning about local history, or just taking time to read. We spent two weeks here with our family from Germany and loved it. Martha and Gaëtan are kind, helpful, easygoing hosts who prepare breakfast with care. They speak French, Spanish, and English fluently, and live in the same house, though you still have your own private space. They're thoughtful and attentive, while giving you room when you need it. If you're open to adapting, it's great having locals around for useful tips and stimulating conversations. And when you want peace and quiet, you can have that too. We'll definitely be back. I especially enjoyed coming back from sightseeing and unwinding by the pool. The hosts live on site, offer great service, are super friendly, and make a delicious breakfast. The place is surrounded by a beautiful, peaceful forest but still close enough to the city, which connects to many tourist spots in the area. A fantastic experience, and I'd absolutely recommend staying here.

Our two weeks here were just perfect, and we'll definitely return. This is an incredibly beautiful, love-filled place, a little oasis surrounded by lovely villages, sports activities, and wine tastings. The house itself is beautiful, with lots of details from Gaëtan's childhood. Martha and Gaëtan are wonderful hosts who help whenever they can and are always happy to chat. We had such a good time together and look forward to seeing you again soon!

The location is hard to beat, and the place has such a peaceful, comfortable feel. What really made it for us was the hosts: they always found a way to make our stay a joyful, wonderful experience. I can’t think of a better place in the area.
