Gîte en Forterre

The lovely view was so calming, and the setting made it easy to relax. Stéphane and Virginie made us feel at home from the start. They were friendly, attentive and always available, and did everything they could to make our stay easy. We were very happy here and thank them. The cottage was spacious and practical, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed: bed linen, towels, kitchen linens, a fully equipped kitchen and Wi-Fi. They’d even left everything for a surprise breakfast on our first morning. Nothing was missing. Our daughter loved the room, which was beautifully decorated, like the adult bedroom, with a big window and a lovely view, a roomy bed, a chest of drawers and nice lamps. She’s 11 and a little timid at night, so we brought her usual Badabulle wall nightlight and put a small BL50 Dynamo USB rechargeable lamp (from Decathlon) on the bathroom hallway floor to help her feel more confident going to the toilet. She’d packed books and a coloring book, but there were board games, hand puppets, marbles and more waiting in her room. The big outdoor trampoline was a hit too, and there’s a picnic table for sunny days.

The breakfast was hearty and had everything we needed. We had a very warm welcome and a pleasant, calm, relaxing stay. Wishing you all the best, and I highly recommend it!

We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful place. The meal was delicious and plentiful, and our night in the yurt was a special one. The bed was comfortable too.
