I drove six hours for a stay I had booked and paid for on Saturday morning. The confirmation email came through, but just one hour before I arrived, they called to say the hotel was overbooked and there was no room for me. I was left far from home without accommodation, and couldn't access my money while waiting at least three business days for the refund. Completely unacceptable and irresponsible. A prepaid, confirmed reservation should be something you can count on. Avoid this hotel. After the hotel's reply, I still don't think my review is unfair. Whether I booked that morning or weeks earlier, a confirmed reservation should guarantee a room. If the system accepts payment and sends confirmation, customers should be able to rely on it. The reply suggested I should have called to check whether my confirmed booking was valid, which defeats the point of online booking, confirmation emails and prepayment. Mistakes happen, but cancelling one hour before arrival was unacceptable, and this is an honest account of what happened.

We were already on the road after a six-hour drive when the hotel told us, just an hour before arrival, that our confirmed, prepaid Booking.com reservation couldn't be honored because they were overbooked. The long weekend made finding another place really difficult, and we had to spend extra time and money sorting it out. On top of all that, my refund could take up to another five days. A terrible and stressful experience.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were the most wonderful, friendly people. The cuisine was out of this world. What a hidden gem. Amazing place, and we'd definitely come back. I'd give it six stars if I could.

Chef Antonio Gerard and the attentive staff made this a perfect experience. The cooking was excellent, and it felt like a whole new culinary experience. You don't just taste the flavors, you live them. Everyone should try it.
