I’d stayed here before, and it’s still good value. It’s a simple, clean, comfortable hostel with welcoming staff, a surprisingly good basic breakfast, and secure bike storage. A handy stop at the start of a ride to Bruges.

The staff were always smiling and gave the place a great feel. My travel bike was stored safely, and the room was comfortable, nicely ventilated, and not cold. It had everything I needed as a traveler.

There’s a great view of the pier, though a lot of construction is getting in the way of the lovely location. The service was very good. The staff didn’t speak much English, but worked hard to communicate and help. Seems like a good budget stop for a young backpacker.

The nearby construction is hard to miss, and the area is just OK, though you can get there easily by bus. Inside, the hostel is budget friendly, but the bed frames feel cheap and the walls don’t block hallway noise very well. Breakfast is simple, with few choices.

We had parking and a great base for a family holiday, close to both the city and the beach. My favorite part was jogging along the beautiful beach route early in the morning, then coming back for a good, healthy breakfast at the hostel.
