Domaine de Nouguiès

This is a large holiday cottage in a striking, imposing building. It’s been restored to a high standard, especially the woodwork and structure. The outside is mostly wood, and there’s a pleasant pool. The kitchen has good equipment, but the bedrooms are basic and short on electrical outlets. Clean linen and towels are provided on site. The setting is nice, about 1500m from a village with a good restaurant. You’ll need a car to shop.

Such a brilliant holiday, in a peaceful little oasis surrounded by nature. The welcome from the lovely hosts was the warmest we’ve ever had. The place was spotless and well equipped, and our accommodation was top-notch. We arrived to wine and snacks, a really nice touch. Tom Eve Céline Julie and Charlotte It’s a great base for visits to idyllic spots, towns, and the coast, and we especially loved the delicious food in the village. We spent our days mountain biking, hiking, sunbathing, and swimming, just enjoying ourselves. We might come back this year. If paradise exists, I reckon it must be at Rudy and Ann’s. Huge credit to them for giving us such a wonderful holiday.

We stayed in the 12-person section of the magnificent gîte. It was very clean, comfortable, and clearly well looked after. The estate is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and pine woods. Rudy and Ann are very kind. Nothing to complain about at all, except that we're already keen to return :)

The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help. This is a lovely holiday spot with everything close at hand. It sits among greenery, peaceful surroundings, and historic villages, about half an hour by car from Narbonne and the Mediterranean. Great for walks, cycling, and beach or sea sports, with Carcassonne, Spain, and the Pyrenees all doable as day trips.
