That homemade breakfast was the best we had in our two weeks in France, and we loved the plants and decor too. We came for somewhere quiet, and this charming place in the middle of nowhere was just right. We missed out on the gourmand dinner because we hadn't booked ahead, and regretted it straight away. We'll have to come back and try it. Really lovely place, well worth another visit.
The breakfast was mostly homemade, and I hadn't had one like it in ages. My wife booked this little trip for us, and it turned out to be such a delight. The house is lovely, with different levels and a hidden terrace overlooking the surrounding area. Our room was cosy too. I'd definitely recommend it if you're after a refreshing holiday.
Helmut has made the 15th century mas into a wonderfully distinctive place, inside and out, and he's a consummate host. He can also prepare a fantastic dinner if you'd like one. Our stay at La Vieille Maison is something we'll always cherish, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.
The house felt warm and welcoming, and our room had a huge toilet and an artist's atelier feel. We booked at the last minute and ended up finding one of the most amazing places of our trip. Helmut was so warm and kind, and an incredible chef, easily Michelin star level. He tailored the super fine dinner for my wife, who is pregnant. Hopefully we'll be back.
I was craving a break from the city's hustle and bustle, and choosing this place was a great call. Everything is antique and seems to have its own story. The room experience made me feel like I was living a vintage lifestyle, which gave me a sense of pride. The host was so welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious, with such tempting presentation. It was a magnificent experience. A big thank you to the host for the hospitality and for doing his level best.
