Vacancéole – Le Domaine du Bosquet

We had to cancel our booking just three days before arriving, although the reservation was for ten days later. They explained that it was our fault, and I understand that, but a bit of empathy or some goodwill, like a partial refund, would have meant a lot. There was nothing. I own a gîte myself and really don't understand this kind of treatment. Not customer-friendly at all. Avoid at all costs!

Our family had an unexpected medical situation, so I sent the relevant reports and documentation showing why I couldn't travel on that date. They refused any refund, and didn't even offer to change the date for an extra fee. It wasn't a whim, but they didn't seem to care. A real disappointment. If you book here, I'd pay for free cancellation in case something unexpected happens.

I got there at 7:30 PM and the reception was already closed. Booking.com still charged me for the night, even though I never slept there. Terrible experience. I don't recommend this hotel.

The staff were pleasant and did what they could to keep the property maintained. Parking near the accommodation was handy, and there were always spaces, plus there’s a badminton court. But the rental was disappointing for four people: the sofa bed mattress was very worn, the shutters were hard to close, the shower head was damaged, and one cupboard door was difficult to open. The apartment was in very poor condition, and the pool that was meant to be heated wasn't.
