The red room was so roomy and relaxing, and I slept really comfortably. I was welcomed so warmly in this beautiful house. The food was lovely too, and they packed a generous picnic for me. Thank you :)

The house felt a bit cold during a chilly May, since the heating was already off. Also, hikers should know the listed late arrival time matters: we weren’t welcomed before 5 pm, even though it was raining.

The room was spacious and really cozy. Our host also knows the Auvergne and its local food well, and was happy to share that knowledge with guests. A great base if you’re hoping to explore the region. I’d definitely recommend it!

Our host was lovely and very welcoming, and enjoyed pointing out what to see around the region. We had a comfortable room tucked away under the eaves, with a view over the meadows and some privacy from the rest of the house. The Chaudefour Valley and Besse, including its supermarket, are about 15 minutes away. Puy de Sancy is a little farther.
