The gentleman who greeted and served us made us feel at home. He was so kind and attentive, and his passion for the work came through in the personal touches he added to the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm with a touch of elegance, and the menu offered thoughtful choices without feeling overwhelming. Every dish, from the starters through dessert, was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients seemed high quality, and there was real care in the balance and detail. It all felt authentically Alsacienne. We left happy as well as full. It’s rare to find such good food paired with genuine hospitality, and this was more than just a meal for us. If you’re nearby, don’t miss it.

The Baeckeoffe and tarte oignon were heavenly. Great service, really good quality food, and a pleasant atmosphere too. We’re going back tomorrow!

2025: We booked a Monday lunch again and got an indoor table this time. It was nicely cool with the A/C. The staff and owner were just as friendly, relaxed, and attentive as last year, and our Bulldog was welcome again. We both had the Foie Gras mi-cuit, which we love here, and it was as good as ever. For my main, I chose the "Le Cordon Bleu de Noix de Veau Pané avec Jambon Blanc et Fromage Ribeaupierre". The meat was a real treat, crisp and hot on the outside, with lovely, flavorful cheese melting inside. It was hearty and savory, cooked perfectly, and came with excellent sauce and potatoes that suited it well. The other main was the La Fricassée de Pieds et de Joues de Porc à l’Ancienne, as last time. Still wonderful, with pork feet and cheeks and nice Spaetzle. Our 5dl of Pinot Gris was decent and went well with the food. Next time, and there will be one, we’ll probably spend a little extra for a more special bottle of Pinot Gris or Riesling. Another excellent lunch, with a lovely atmosphere, a skilled kitchen crew, and high quality products. We really enjoyed it and will be back. 2024: We came to Eguisheim to buy some wine and have a good lunch. I found the restaurant online through the positive feedback and called to book. Good thing I did, since it was fully booked on a Monday. Our table was ready when we arrived. We got the outdoor table in the side alley that we’d asked for, and it was very comfortable. The owners and service were great, friendly, and made us feel welcome. Our Bulldog was welcome too. For starters, we chose Foie Gras mi-cuit and escargots. The Foie Gras was high quality and came with a great Mirabelle chutney, a perfect pairing. The escargots were a good size, buttery, and garlicky. For mains we had Les Cuisses de Grenouilles, frog legs in a creamy Riesling sauce with noodles, and La Fricassée de Pieds et de Joues de Porc à l’Ancienne, pork feet and cheeks cooked perfectly. A glass of Riesling and a glass of golden Pinot Gris worked well with both meals. A really good, authentic restaurant with a great cook and kitchen. The food was good quality and cooked perfectly, at fair prices. We’ll definitely be back next summer.

I didn't stay at the hotel, so this is only about the restaurant. It was full, and other diners seemed happy and praised the cook. I found the food ordinary and plain, sometimes awful, and just cheap. It didn't do this regional style of cooking justice.
