Camping Les Grillons

We spent one night here, two people and a dog. The family running the place are really nice, and there’s plenty of room for everyone. The facilities were clean and in good shape, and the campsite is well set up. Just remember to bring your own toilet paper, as usual at French campsites.

There are lots of trees around the pitches, the toilets were clean, and the other campers were nice. The owner was super helpful and knows the area inside out. The playground might have the best view ever.

I’d come back in a heartbeat. The campsite was good value, with freshly baked bread and pastries available if you order the day before, and the pools were a welcome extra after a tough ride in the mountains. Embrun is a beautiful town, and the surrounding area is amazing. Olivier was an attentive, fantastic host who seemed to know everything about the area for hikers and cyclists. Some facilities were closed because of Covid regulations, but what was available seemed adequate. My only criticism is that the pitches are a little sloped. If you can manage that for a few days, it’s definitely worth staying. Thanks for everything, Oliver! ;)

The location is amazing for hiking, and the service is even better. A great campsite.
