Villa Violette was well maintained by Barbara, and breakfast was good. There are turtles, horses, chickens, roosters, a donkey and other animals around the property. We stayed four nights in this peaceful, green setting, with all the basic facilities provided. There isn't a cleaning service, though.

We were welcomed so warmly, and having a generous breakfast out on the terrace was a real pleasure. If you want a break from everyday life, enjoy British charm and discretion, or love animals, this place is a great fit. I highly recommend it.

The owners are really friendly, and the property covers 1.1 hectares. It's a wonderful place to stay, though a bit secluded, so you'll want a car. Best if you like animals.

We stayed in the grey room, which had a door straight onto the terrace. That gave us a nice bit of independence. The countryside setting was magnificent and completely quiet.
