The village is ideally set between the mountains, a ski resort, and Spain. We had a fantastic welcome at this guesthouse, enjoyed the homemade breakfast, and found the rooms lovely with comfortable beds. The Pyrenees views are breathtaking.

The half-board dinner was the highlight for us. The set menu is fabulous, with local dishes like Boles de picolat, Fideuada, and Mel i mató, served in a warm, family atmosphere. Breakfast is lovely too, with homemade jams, fresh bread, coffee, and plenty of teas and herbal infusions. This converted farmhouse sits right in the village, around 15 minutes from the ski slopes and 10 minutes from Spain. You can stay in a self-catering cottage or a bed and breakfast room, and either way the welcome is perfect. Martine is attentive and happy to suggest walks and places to see. If you like traditional food and simple, welcoming places, this is a great place to stay.

We got some homemade cold, creamy treats and mountain honey to take with us, which was such a lovely touch. The south-facing room was spotless and a delight, and the whole place feels cozy, pretty, and relaxed. The food was excellent too. After a night on the train, we were welcomed so warmly, even though we arrived at an unusual hour. Wi-Fi was perfect, so we were able to work there while connected. It’s a lovely spot for city people looking for nature, works well for groups, and is just a stone’s throw from the Latour de Carol international train station. THANK YOU, MARTINE.

We loved the breakfast, the comfortable beds, the warm rooms, the lovely views, and the very cute cat. The service was friendly and correct, but as a couple in our 20s we felt we were treated differently from the families there to ski, almost as if we were a nuisance. Sometimes it seemed like a problem when we asked questions. We hadn’t realized that towels and soap weren’t provided, and remember that they don’t accept credit cards.
