The billing was a problem, and both my first room and the replacement were dirty. The bed linen and towels had stains on them. Staff were extremely unfriendly, the receptionist didn’t help resolve any issues, and the administrator came across as arrogant. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel under any circumstances. Avoid it.

Bugs, dirty rooms, and housekeeping came into our room while we were asleep 😀. Just a horrible stay. I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but this one deserves it. The air conditioning ran loudly all day and still didn’t cool the room. The filter looks as if it may not have been cleaned in five years, so there’s clearly no maintenance. Also, to set expectations, the staff don’t speak English at all. You’d be better off sleeping on the street, where at least you’d get fresh air.

People smoke in the corridors, and I didn’t feel safe. You could hardly get up the stairs without asking people to move. It looked like a homeless collection centre. While I was in my room, someone pushed my door two or three times to see if it was open. The rooms are tiny, smelly, and have bugs. Even sitting on the toilet is difficult because it’s set diagonally against the wall. Reception is useless and only there for an hour a day, so you have to use a computer to get your key code. That’s probably why all this happens in the “hotel.” You might save money by booking this cheap place, but you’ll regret it fast. It’s not safe, and you’ll notice as soon as you park, so take these reviews seriously before booking.

The free WiFi is patchy and didn’t work in my room. They don’t change the sheets or clean the room until after you check out. If you’re without a car, this secluded area is a poor choice, with the nearest cafe or boulangerie at least a mile away. There are insects and bed bugs everywhere, and staff can’t help or even supply insecticide. Reception is barely useful and only staffed two hours a day. The coin only coffee machines are another hassle. Breakfast is very expensive for such limited food, the coffee is disgusting, and if you turn up ten minutes before cutoff, there’ll be nothing left. It’s good for sleeping at night and not much else. This place seems to thrive only during the busy holiday season, when Annecy has little accommodation available. Save yourself a bad holiday and book somewhere else early.
