Le Pass'Port

There was no peace or privacy here, so we cut our three-night booking short and left early. The place sits right by a busy road and the noise was constant, from traffic and plumbing. The bed sagged badly and was extremely noisy. The little terrace shown on Booking.com is actually in a shared passage between two cottages, with an open door straight onto the road. It's in a pizzeria courtyard, so keep your door shut properly: a man even came into our cottage. The dish sponge had clearly been used by many guests, and there didn't seem to be any hygiene measures. We were welcomed without masks, and there was no hand sanitizer or other disinfectant. Avoid it if you want to relax.

The rain shower was nice, and there's an Intermache and a bakery nearby. Otherwise, the decor felt spartan, gloomy and cold. It's on a busy street and you can definitely hear it. A lot of things were broken or didn't work, the bed sagged, and the fridge made noises at night.

The rental was noisy, the bedding was poor, and cleanliness fell short. The welcome wasn't pleasant either, so I wouldn't recommend this gîte.

The owner was kind and easy to reach. The accommodation itself was very pleasant.
