Hotel La Plage

The room we were given had a parking lot view, although the room we booked was advertised with a sea view. We had just arrived and were very disappointed. At reception, they said the website does not show photos of rooms facing the parking lot. Yet the site gave no indication that some rooms lack a sea view. Instead, it described every room as offering a breathtaking view of the Erquy sea, with natural light and a peaceful outlook over the marine horizon. We were also assigned a bathroom adapted for disabled access, which we neither needed nor asked for. We requested another room with the view we had booked, but they refused, saying the hotel was full. At the same time, rooms with views could still be booked online on the hotel's website for the same price we had paid. Reception then said those rooms were unavailable and that a sea-view room cost €275. I consider that deceptive. After this experience, I definitely can't recommend the hotel.

Lovely decor and a fantastic location. There’s private parking too.

The hotel faces the sea, the location is nice, and the staff are friendly. The rooms and staircase really need refreshing, though, and there’s no lift. At €15, breakfast is far too basic and not worth more than €10. There was no eggs, ham, or cheese, and nothing cooked.

The staff were very courteous and gave us a good welcome. Dinner was excellent, really top notch, and the food was very good. Our room was small, but the linen and towels were clean and changed. The bay windows needed cleaning, and there was dreadful condensation in the mornings.
