We cancelled our non-refundable Booking.com reservation after just a few minutes because it was impossible to sleep there. The wall in front of the door looked ready to collapse, and the accommodation smelled disgusting. Furniture was dirty, greasy, dusty, and covered in crumbs; the sofa was stained, and the tea towels and bath mats were used and dirty. There were no sheets or toilet paper, the trash hadn’t been emptied, and there was hair in the shower and a toothpaste stain in the bathroom sink, among other things. When I told the owner about the condition of the place, he asked me to clean up after the previous travelers. Shameful. It also didn’t seem like the water had run recently, despite the so-called vacationers having left that same day. Mediocre, avoid!

The apartment’s interior was in good condition, and the location was quiet. It’s quite a long way from the village of Esparron, farther than the email indicated. The exterior really needs major renovation. Fine for a short stay of one or two nights.

A lovely path leads through the surrounding nature down to the lake. Everything felt peaceful and serene, absolutely perfect, like a little slice of paradise.

The parking felt terribly insecure. There was an exposed electrical wire on the wall, broken tiles, and bedding that needs replacing.

A huge rip-off. The apartment isn’t maintained by the landlord, who even asked me to clean it myself. It’s a shame, and a property like this shouldn’t be rented. Terrible, nothing is right.
