The location was the one good thing. My room was on the first floor, with its window facing the path to the swimming pool, so people walking by could peek inside and I had no privacy. The rooms were clean, but very old, with almost no sound insulation. I could hear everything the people next door were saying, and they probably heard me listening to my podcast too. The towels seemed older than I am. Dinner portions were small enough that I left hungry, and breakfast had very little choice. The people at reception didn’t seem to care much. I wouldn’t come back.

The location is superb, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The tiles are a little dated, but that’s acceptable. Half-board is excellent value for money. The meals were very generous, though it seems you can’t choose, which is fine since we like everything. Breakfast was excellent, especially the Basque cheese. I’m still thinking about it!

We were looking forward to a lovely evening for my wife’s birthday. Everything was going well, with a superb setting, a very kind waitress, and excellent food and colors, until seven shameless Spanish bikers showed up. They had no respect for the other customers or the waitress, and several other customers were very annoyed by their behavior too. What a shame. We’ll come back, but if it happens again, I’ll take action. Those idiots should be kept separate!
