I sent back the foie gras, and they didn’t charge me for it. The staff were friendly, but the meal was disappointing. The chicken tasted old, and the foie gras had melted, as if it had been sitting in the sun before they served it. The food tasted old overall, almost like it had been microwaved. This review is for the restaurant.

I really enjoyed my stay. The town is lovely, and the hotel has nice art, friendly people, and really, really good food. Great value for money, too.

The building has its own charm, and my room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfy, too. Getting in was a bit weird, since I had to phone for the door code, but it was a wonderful stay overall.

We arrived during reception hours and found the hotel abandoned. The place is very dated, and our room had an extra present left in the toilet. The rooms need a refurb. It was cheap, but I can’t call it good value at that standard.

There’s no lunch packet if you leave before breakfast, and on weekends breakfast doesn’t start until 8. For meals, you’ll have to translate the menu with Google Translate or learn French, since nobody speaks English or German. Thank God I’ll never come here again.
