ibis Etampes

The team were professional and always helpful, and I enjoyed staying at Hotel Ibis. It's clean and close to the train station. The continental breakfast has a good variety. Even when the hotel is often sold out, the rooms are extremely quiet, including during the early morning breakfast rush.

The rooms were clean, though I thought they started cleaning rather late in the day. Towels were changed too often, even when we left them off the floor, despite the water-saving sign. I spent two weeks here, and the hotel was usually quiet, though some days had very heavy guest traffic. On those days the tiny breakfast room couldn't handle a relaxed service without rushing or crowding people. The breakfast selection also got very boring after two weeks. A hot dish would make a real difference. The hotel is right in the town center, next to the train station.

My reservation was cancelled by the hotel the day before I arrived, and I was charged taxes on the cancelled booking. The staff were friendly, but so poorly informed that they couldn't help. There are no outlets or USB charging ports beside the bed, and the bathroom in the room is tiny.

The bar service was excellent, and the welcome and care were lovely. We'd give them six stars if we could!
