Gite de l'Abbaye d'Etrun

A great base for day trips to Arras, Lille, the seaside towns, Amiens, Paris, Bruxelles, Bruges, and plenty of other places. etrun is really well placed for that. The garden may be one of the best I’ve ever seen, and the place itself is very nice and quiet, just right for a relaxing stay.

Such a lovely place to stay.

There’s not much cell service in town, which made it just right for switching off and recharging. I had a wonderful time here with my friends. The gîte has three bedrooms, including one with an ensuite bathroom, plus a lovely little garden and a beautiful large one that really invites you to relax. The pool is big enough to properly enjoy, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. I genuinely loved it and would happily return.

The estate has a lovely, idyllic setting, spread over several hectares and belonging to the Etrun manor, built on the ruins of the former abbey. There’s a lot of history here, and the owners are happy to tell you about its rich past. The cottage itself is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of utensils and Wi-Fi. The bedding is high quality, and despite visiting during the coldest period in February, we weren’t cold at all because it was so well heated. I highly recommend it!
