After a long, hot hike, we stopped in for cold drinks and got quick, polite service. The flowers spilling from the well-kept entrance balcony made a lovely first impression. We couldn't stay overnight or have a full meal this time, but this beautiful old auberge in the center of Èvosges, right at the edge of the Jura Mountains, is somewhere we'd like to return to. It has the comfort and hospitality that make us think a family runs it. We'll be back!

A very welcoming family runs the place, and dinner and breakfast both lived up to what we hoped for. We stumbled on it by chance, and it turned out to be just the spot to recharge. The rooms and inn have kept their original look, which is a big part of their charm. We'll definitely come back.

The location is good, but the restaurant and drinks cost far too much. It's a shame, the place gives the impression of slowly fading away...
