The heated indoor pool was lovely, but it was 1.60m deep throughout. At 1.50m tall, I couldn't comfortably stay with my two children, who can't swim. The weather wasn't on our side either, so we didn't get to use it. We had a peaceful, enjoyable week with meals included, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Being able to borrow board games was a nice touch and gave guests a chance to try new ones. There wasn't much for very young children. When we booked in January, the map showed several play areas, but they were taken down at the start of the season because they no longer met safety standards, and still hadn't been replaced. They were a long walk around the lake, which isn't easy with 3-year-olds. The inflatable play structures were also marked on the map but weren't there. A lovely place, though not one I'd recommend for young children.

The team at the VVF in Eygurande were very friendly and helpful, and the apartments were comfortable and well-equipped. The location and amenities are good reasons to stay here. The double bed, though, was an uncomfortable sofa bed. The meals felt more like cafeteria food than restaurant fare. I'd go for the setting and staff, but not for a good night's sleep unless you're in one of the single beds, or for the food.

The staff were friendly, and the hikes on offer were really pleasant. With young children, though, we could only manage one. The stay was fine, but it didn't match our previous VVF holidays, especially in how families with little kids are catered for. The children's facilities were a letdown. The kids' club was advertised as suitable for 3-year-olds, but our son, who was still learning to use the toilet, was only allowed to attend twice. We weren't told beforehand that children had to be fully potty-trained, and I also felt there weren't enough staff to supervise the younger ones. There was hardly anywhere for children to play. The current "park" is ridiculously small, and several play areas shown on the map had been dismantled and never replaced. That's a shame for a family with young children. This was our third VVF resort stay, and unfortunately the most disappointing. The welcome meeting went on far too long, with lots of unnecessary details but no useful advice about local activities or places to visit, unlike the information sessions at other VVF resorts. The tourist office representative was supposed to come on Monday but never showed up. What a shame.
