La Galante

The decor is outstanding, and the accommodation is beautiful. We stayed two nights and were made to feel welcome by some of the kindest, loveliest people you could meet. Do yourself a favour and go, you’ll be thrilled!

We’ll be back, and we’ll bring all our family because they’ll love it. La Gallante Maison d’Hotes, Faugères is a wonderful little paradise. Michel and Cathy were lovely hosts, with such care in every detail and nothing too much trouble. The house is absolutely stunning, with a different theme in every room that made us feel transported to another era. It’s luxury beyond compare, and the swimming pool is quite something too.

It was our first trip to France, and we couldn’t have picked a lovelier place to stay. The hosts were fantastic, the house and rooms were exceptional, and the pool was tremendous. The gardens were beautiful too. Anyone who stays here will be over the moon.

The garden is romantically landscaped, with space to sunbathe, and the large pool stayed at around 24 degrees Celsius, refreshing without being too cold. There’s also a lovely terrace where you can sit and enjoy the quiet. Each room feels like its own little work of art, stylish and comfortable, with so much attention to detail. Michel and Catherine welcomed us so warmly, and they can help with everything from excursion tips and restaurant bookings to wine tasting. We especially loved being able to have a tasting right in the house, with the winemaker visiting in person. Their passion for this little gem shows everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. Along with fresh croissants and other sweet French breakfast treats, you can ask for savory options like scrambled eggs, cheese and salami, all fresh and delicious. We had a perfect stay at the Maison d'Hotel La Galante and wholeheartedly recommend it. We’ll definitely return!
