The two stars I gave were because the waiter was so pleasant. He even refunded the dessert without us having to ask. The meal itself was a letdown: the food was very average, and the dessert was rock hard and inedible. The decor felt dated, the place smelled musty, and the woman with the shaved head was really unfriendly. It wasn't about paying less, though. We wanted a good meal, and we didn't get one. This is definitely the first and last time I'll set foot here.

The staff were really friendly, and for €35 we had beef bourguignon, a butcher's cut with Camembert sauce, homemade fries, chocolate mousse and two drinks. The portions were generous, and the beef bourguignon was incredibly tender, clearly homemade. We first tried the place during the "bouillon" promotion, and the prices are very appealing. The egg mayonnaise was simple, and I don't think the mayonnaise was homemade, but for €2 there were three egg halves, which was good value. The decor, presentation and menu are all simple, which fits the price. It's an accessible spot for a quick meal out, especially when everything is getting expensive. If the promotion continues, we'll come back.

The setting is a little rustic, but it feels very welcoming. We stumbled on the restaurant and had a lovely dinner. The "Bouillon" set menu was very affordable, with generous portions, and everything we ate was very good.

The atmosphere's really friendly, and the prices are reasonable for good food. This brasserie is hugely popular, and it's easy to understand why. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
