L'Ayguevives

Breakfast was generous, and we ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The owners were incredibly welcoming and happy to share tips for great outings. The garden and pool made a beautiful setting, and everything was spotless. Even in the intense heat, the accommodation stayed pleasantly cool. Sylvie and Philippe have thought of the details, from the bedroom layout and kitchen to the little living room, games, and activities for the children. Breakfast was a treat, with homemade jams and yogurts and fresh produce. Their guesthouse is about 20 minutes from Beauval Zoo, 1 km from Montrichard, and near lots of castles. We spent two days there and were delighted. Sylvie and Philippe are lovely, welcoming, and incredibly kind hosts. We highly recommend staying with them and are grateful for their warm welcome. We loved starting each morning with the generous breakfast and delicious homemade jams. Sylvie and Philippe were warm, attentive, and helpful, and their advice was much appreciated. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean; the shared spaces were well cared for and had everything needed to cook, plus a handy little barbecue. Even in the intense heat, the house stayed pleasantly cool, and the pool in the lovely garden was a real bonus. Ayguevives is a three-day stay we’d happily repeat, just a five-minute drive from Montrichard-Val-de-Cher and its many restaurants, and under 20 minutes from Chenonceau and Amboise.

We had a great chat with the owners, who were especially friendly. The garden is spacious, and the pool and other amenities were a nice extra. Our room was great, and the residence was beautiful and quiet. Thanks for the warm welcome, good humor, and kindness.
