It's a bit rural, so you'll need a car, and we didn't get to try the spa. The hotel was clean and well run, with friendly staff, and it worked well for dogs. There was plenty of parking and one electric charger, but non-electric cars kept taking the space despite the sign reserving it for electric vehicles.

The rooms were very clean, and the hotel itself is lovely, but the restaurant wasn't for us. We only wanted a main course, and it was small and poor quality. The food is expensive for the portions, and we felt the restaurant was very quiet and that the reply we got at reception was rude. They said we should have raised the issue at the table so it could have been resolved. They seem to want guests to take the full menu, perhaps because there's little else nearby. It's a pleasant place if you have a small appetite and like very quiet restaurants, but not for us.

I can only comment on the restaurant... Actually, I don't want to say more about it. The dishes are pretentious and low quality. The food doesn't seem very fresh, though it's presented beautifully.

They advertised 50% off the entire menu, then when we paid, said they'd made a mistake and charged us full price. The food wasn't worth paying full price for.

We had excellent food, and the staff were great. A lovely hotel.
