A nice place to use as a base while travelling.

After more than a year, the €70 left on my cashless wristband still hadn’t been refunded. The machine was broken the day before we left, so we paid by credit card after being promised a quick refund. Even after a huge number of emails and calls, 18 months went by without it being processed. After I posted this review, someone finally sent the money back. Huge thanks to the new owners. The campsite itself is charming and very well located 😀

We’re still here at Lou Cantaire, in mobile home 44, and I felt I should leave a review. The negative comments from other guests (or maybe not guests) had put me off and scared me the day before we arrived, but the stay has been a pleasant surprise. We’re a family of five, with children aged 17, 13, and 10, and there’s been room and comfort for all of us. It’s clean, peaceful, and has everything we need. I’m fussy about cleanliness, and this is the first time I haven’t had to clean when arriving. The welcome at reception was really warm, with clear instructions and explanations. The boys love the water area, especially the slides and pool. There are plenty of chairs and loungers, plus a whirlpool, and the pool is clean and well filtered. My husband and I also loved the waterfall, which gives you a free back massage! The restaurant is a real plus, with very friendly staff, excellent fries and pastries, and delicious bread and pastries in the morning. There are activities every day, daytime and evening, if you want to join in. The activity leader is very kind and does his best to keep campers happy. I’ve seen the negative reviews about the young lifeguard, but he’s just doing his job. Swim shorts aren’t allowed; when my son tried wearing them, the lifeguard kindly asked him to change into another swimsuit, which is fair. It’s the same with inflatables, otherwise there’d be no room left in the pools. I think that covers the campsite, and it deserves a well-earned 5/5.
