Hotel Mare E Monti

Feliceto is a lovely little town with a few good restaurants. We had a very pleasant stay at Mare E Monti. There was enough room for everyone at the nice pool, and the bar beside it was a welcome feature.

The pool area was a quiet, relaxing spot, and eating breakfast in the serene backyard was one of my favorite moments of the trip. Breakfast was the best we had in France, made with delicious, high-quality local ingredients rather than an overwhelming number of options. We were also greeted warmly by the down-to-earth staff, and dinner at the restaurant one evening came with fantastic food and service. The building itself is amazing, and the family still owns it. They’ve kept it in impeccable condition, adding modern facilities while staying true to its history and character. There’s even a room with original decor and furnishings that you can look into from the grand staircase. We felt honored to stay in such a beautiful house. I really hope to return for another genuine, peaceful, inspiring stay. Thank you!

The hotel is perfectly placed near the couple of restaurants in Feliceto, a truly amazing mountain village built around a single street. Breakfast was amazing, the room was crystal clean and great, and the staff were very helpful. We didn’t use the pool at all. The only small thing I wasn’t keen on was the bathroom. IMO, a shower would have been better. I’ll come back :)

Feliceto is peaceful and small, but has enough for the basics, including somewhere to get a baguette, water, stamps, or a simple meal. The hotel is charming, and our room was bright, spacious, and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast stood out for its generous portions and high quality. We had a wonderful stay and I’d definitely recommend it.
