It might work as a B&B, but it isn't a tourist attraction anymore. The garden of curcurbits the guidebooks mention is gone, and now there's just a stray dog that tries to bite visitors.

The rooms in the castle feel cozy and lovely, with all that history and old-world charm. And Nicole and Regé are amazing, looking after such a huge estate while somehow having the time and energy for everything. Thanks so much for all the care and hospitality. The castle itself is magnificent, divine, just amazing!

If you can bring someone you love, this is a lovely romantic spot, like something from a fairy tale. It's tucked away in the province of Angers, apart from the bigger, more famous châteaux of the Seine, so not everyone may come across it. Without someone you love by your side, though, it's a waste of time. Better to go somewhere else.
