Le Domaine Du Châtelet

We came away feeling refreshed after a peaceful stay surrounded by nature, a perfect escape from the everyday. The welcome and service were warm and impeccable. Thank you so much ☺️ Already looking forward to coming back!

We rented the KOTA Grill for an affordable price, and its layout worked really well, with an adjoining kitchen and everything needed to cook. Our first visit to Domaine du Châtelet in Ferdrupt, in the Vosges mountains, was a great success. Daniel gave us a tour of the estate and was very friendly, and Betty was lovely too. It made for a warm, convivial evening, and we’ll definitely be back!

My €130 Smartbox voucher was for Domaine du Châtelet, so I checked their website and emailed the woman there with proof that my package included a jacuzzi, sauna, massage, and a bottle of water. I explained that it was a Smartbox, gave her the code, and said I wanted the package I’d seen online. But what I was entitled to turned out to be one thing or the other, not the same offer at all. It felt like misleading advertising on her site. I became very ill, tested positive for the flu, and have asthma. I’d planned to go right up to the day itself, but was too sick. I emailed to explain, and got a simple “OK” in reply. A few days later, I wrote again to ask if we could reschedule, since she had used my €130 Smartbox voucher. I understand she’d prepared, and I wouldn’t mind paying extra for not showing up. But I sent proof that I’d had an emergency doctor’s appointment, and that still wasn’t enough for her. She also complained by email that Smartbox takes more than 30% of her voucher. That’s not my problem, and she agreed to it, which I find shameful. I can’t share all her emails because she deleted everything to avoid the truth, but I’m showing proof of what I’m saying.
