L'école est finie !

The triple-glazed windows really came in handy. I left them open on a mild summer night, then the farmers across the way started up their tractors at 5am to harvest. They were seriously loud, but the windows cut the sound down very effectively. I stopped here for one night while driving from London to the south of France, and it's far enough into France to make the trip a comfortable two eight-hour stretches. The rooms were lovely, and the old building has been turned into a quirky little hotel with loads of care put into the details. Breakfast was generous, especially the local honey and jams. The owner's mother was so friendly and looked after us well. There’s a nice restaurant in the village, plus a basic steak house about five minutes away by car. I really liked staying here and hope it gets plenty of business, it deserves to do well.

Mamie Annie made us a wonderful petit dejeuner in this spacious, quiet old school house. The creative decor is lovely too. It’s a peaceful spot for reading or going for a walk.

The breakfast was amazing!

Annie welcomed us so warmly, and her care was generous but discreet. I especially liked the books, games, and greenery in the house. The former school has a lot of character and history, and it's been renovated with good taste and all the comforts. A lovely choice for a family weekend or if you're just passing through northern France. It was fun to step back into the classroom for a bit. Thanks, Annie!
