Domaine de la Grange aux Dîmes

You can enjoy the quiet here without feeling cut off. There's Wi-Fi, a bakery close by that's open in the mornings, and restaurants a little farther away. The place feels genuinely charming, and it's practical and well equipped. We got a really warm, personal welcome. I'd happily recommend it.

The cottage is beautifully done inside and very comfortable, with a garden set up for eating outdoors. The cat, duck, and chickens wander over to greet you, then head off again. The owners welcomed us warmly and shared useful details about the property, places to visit, and restaurants nearby. It's peaceful, and I highly recommend it. It costs no more than a hotel room, but the experience is so much better.

The location is lovely, and so are the owners. The welcome itself was very warm, but I won't be coming back. Our room was under the eaves, with very low beams. You had to watch your head getting into bed, getting up, and leaving the room, which was painful. There was another beam crossing the room too. The bathroom was so dark that putting on makeup was impossible, and the hairdryer socket was out of reach unless you climbed onto a chair. 😜

A great place to switch off, unwind, and enjoy being surrounded by nature.
